La riproduzione asessuata è definita come una forma di riproduzione di un essere vivente sviluppato da una cellula o da un gruppo di cellule. È necessario un solo genitore per questo e non sono coinvolti cellule sessuali o gameti. Detto così, a molti può suonare strano. Se diciamo che una delle diverse modalità di riproduzione asessuata è il taglio, sarà più facilmente comprensibile. E un altro metodo è anche l’air layering di cui parleremo oggi nel nostro post.
I grandi vantaggi di questo tipo di riproduzione vegetale sono molteplici. Fin dall’inizio avremo una copia identica di sua madre, con tutte le sue caratteristiche. Avrà lo stesso periodo di fioritura, lo stesso sapore, gli stessi effetti, la stessa resistenza a parassiti o funghi, se è una varietà che risponde bene alla potatura, se cresce molto o meno, in quale data precisa andremo a raccogliere all’aperto, se è molto produttivo, quale potenza possiamo aspettarci, ecc.
Come si dice, il sistema di riproduzione asessuata più utilizzato dai coltivatori sono le talee . Sono facili da realizzare e una pianta di buone dimensioni può offrirci dozzine o centinaia di talee. Ma oggi parleremo della stratificazione . E più specificamente, stratificazione dell’aria.
Nonostante non sia una tecnica molto conosciuta da molti coltivatori e molto poco utilizzata da chi la conosce, risulta comunque molto interessante e pratica in certi casi. Anche il ramo più grosso può essere stratificato, mentre una talea è particolarmente importante perché il suo fusto non è eccessivamente spesso.
COME FARE UNO SCARICO DELL’ARIA
Uno strato d’aria non è più complicato che eseguire un taglio. Ha alcuni vantaggi. Ad esempio, uno strato d’aria non necessita di condizioni ambientali specifiche come un taglio, poiché continuerà a ricevere nutrienti dalla pianta in ogni momento. Puoi anche sovrapporre un ramo di grandi dimensioni e risparmiare settimane di crescita. Inoltre, finché dura l’intero processo, il ramo continuerà a ricevere i nutrienti dalla pianta e continuerà a crescere.
Ma ha anche alcuni inconvenienti, come il fatto che è una tecnica che richiede più tempo. È anche più scomodo e generalmente ha un numero maggiore di vittime nel processo. Primo passo

Seleziona sempre rami buoni, che abbiano già un buon spessore e un fusto legnoso. Se provengono dalle parti superiori, molto meglio, poiché si radicano più velocemente per il loro alto contenuto di auxine, un tipo di ormone vegetale che ne regola la crescita.
Terzo passaggio
Questa tecnica può essere migliorata se in precedenza copriamo l’area dello stelo dove eseguiremo il taglio con un pezzo di plastica nera ben fissato con nastro isolante. Ciò provoca la trasformazione della corteccia legnosa in corteccia senza cloropasti. Questa corteccia assomiglierà più alla corteccia delle radici in pochi giorni. Questa cosiddetta corteccia etiolata emette radici più facilmente.
Quanto è successo
Dopo circa quattro o cinque giorni, rimuoviamo il nastro isolante e la plastica. Possiamo vedere come si forma un piccolo callo nell’intera area che è stata coperta. Questo callo può essere più o meno a seconda del numero di giorni trascorsi.
Quinto passo
Con un bisturi o una lama molto affilata, disinfettata e pulita, eseguiamo un leggero taglio longitudinale nello stelo di forma concava di circa 1 cm di larghezza. Non puoi tagliare l’intero ramo, quindi fai attenzione. L’area interna dello stelo dovrebbe essere esposta. In altre parole, basta rimuovere una striscia di crosta.
Sesto passo
Nell’area del taglio, applichiamo ormoni radicanti. Quindi con una lana di roccia o un blocco jiffy aperto nel mezzo, avvolgiamo l’area del taglio. Puoi anche usare dell’argilla formando una palla attorno allo stelo. Quindi, assicurati bene la tua opzione in modo che non si muova, con cavi, fili o cinghie, ma senza stringere troppo.
Settimo passo
Per finire, copriamo la lana di roccia, jiffy o argilla con un foglio di alluminio, strato per strato e dandogli una buona forma. Cerca di lasciare un piccolo foro nella parte superiore per aggiungere acqua alla lana di roccia o all’argilla, quindi chiudilo. Questo lo manterrà in una buona umidità più a lungo. Puoi usare un bastoncino o una matita prima di avvolgerlo con la carta stagnola, quindi semplicemente rimuovendolo quando hai finito, avrai il piccolo foro che ti serve.
Quanto tempo ci vuole per radicare uno strato d’aria?
In poco tempo, la ferita inizierà a formare un callo e alcune radici inizieranno a formarsi. Normalmente, in circa 2 settimane di solito c’è una buona quantità di radici. Se il processo è più veloce o più lento dipende molto dalla genetica, dalle condizioni ambientali, dal metodo utilizzato, dalle dimensioni del ramo …
Infine non resta che tagliare il ramo al di sotto dello strato d’aria facendo attenzione a non danneggiare le radici. Rimuoviamo il foglio di alluminio, i fili, lo spago o le reggette che abbiamo utilizzato per fissare il supporto. E spostiamo la nostra nuova pianta in un vaso con un buon substrato. Inizierà rapidamente a sfruttare i suoi nutrienti per continuare a crescere a un buon ritmo.
